Just minutes from downtown, MidCity Huntsville is a place for everyone, and it’s growing fast!
The mixed-use development is already home to Topgolf and The Camp.
REI Co-op announced today that it will be coming to MidCity, making it the first REI in the state. REI will offer workshops to connect people to the outdoors.
Nadia Niakossary, with RCP Companies said, “REI is going to be activating a kayak launch pad at the lake in MidCity Park, which will be really cool, so you can go and test out kayaks and buy their quality gear.”
You can expect to see Dave and Busters, High Point Climbing and Fitness, Wahlburgers, and Pies and Pints in the future as well. MidCity is the fourth largest commercial real estate development in the nation, and the Huntsville community will soon be able to live, work, and play all the area. The owner of Alchemy, John Stough, said that the developers of MidCity were incorporating small businesses, like Alchemy, to attract local customers.
Stough said, “Huntsville is different than other cities of its size, and we need to grow smartly, not just wide.”
“We’re really hitting on experience at MidCity, whether that’s outdoors, with REI and High Point, the active lifestyle, or people that seek entertainment. We’re really hitting on the music scene in Huntsville with an amphitheater and a performing arts center. We’ll have live music at The Camp as well, so it’s going to be a great experiential development,” said Niakossary.
