Redstone Arsenal will be closed for official business on Wednesday, December 5 to observe of the National Day of Mourning in honor of the passing of President George H.W. Bush, 41st President of the United States.
The day will be treated as a holiday for the purposes of installation access, services and Army employee leave and attendance. As such, Redstone gates will reduce to minimum holiday manning with Gate 9, Research Park/Rideout Road, open 24/7; and Gate 8, Goss Road, open from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
As with normal Holiday operation schedules, there will be limited Arsenal amenities open for beneficiaries and members of the community who have access to the installation.
– Post Exchange Facilities – Open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at all facilities except the Martin Road Food Express, which will be closed.
– Commissary — Closed
– The Links at Redstone Golf Course – Open 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Redstone Arsenal will resume normal operations on Thursday, December 6.
