Holding onto old prescriptions because you don’t know where to dispose of them?

The Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting a Drug Take Back Initiative Saturday, April 27 from 8 am to 12 pm.

Bring your old prescription medications that you no longer need to First State Bank, located at 246 Main Street East Rainsville, where they will be safely and securely disposed of.

On the same day, you can get rid of your sensitive documents via a shred truck on-site.

In addition, Leadership DeKalb will be hosting a Community Clean-up day alongside the drug take back program. Leadership Dekalb has been educating 5th graders across the county on the impact litter can have on their communities.
