Decatur Police say there is a new scam going around where someone is posing as the police chief.

Over the past 24 hours, the Decatur Police Department has received multiple reports about fraud phone calls from a person pretending to be Police Chief Nate Allen.

In the phone call, the impostor is asking for money for “injured police officers.”
