People in Ardmore on edge after second murder this week

People in Ardmore are worried for their small town after two elderly people were killed in separate shootings this week.

Police are still searching for the person who killed a 74-year old man Thursday night at his home. They haven’t yet released his name.

Three of the four suspects are in custody for the shooting death of 72-year old Diane Ballard on Tuesday. The suspects are Khalib Holden and Adrian Lopez, both 18 years old, and 20-year old Quintin Courtney.

“You have to worry about it at your own home, I believe both of these have taken place right at the people’s homes,” said local shop owner Rick Barns. “You’re not even safe in your own home anymore and that’s pretty sad. It’s a shame that it’s coming to such a small town like this. I mean it seems like nowhere you go is safe anymore. It just seems that it doesn’t just happen in the big cities.”
