Emergency agencies from across Madison county got together for a briefing Tuesday afternoon from the National Weather Service.
The first-responders say communication is key when it comes to an emergency. The briefing allowed them to have everyone in the same room and make sure they’re on the same page with what to expect.
Emergency agencies are keeping their eyes on flood-prone areas and have plans of action in place.
“To me it’s great pre-planning so when the incident does happen or something goes down, that way it seems like it works a lot better because we’ve had great communications,” said Don Webster with HEMSI.
Folks with the National Weather Service warn if you were impacted by river flooding at the end of 2017 you should be prepared for flooding again.
