More school districts closing due to illness

More local school districts are closing for a day or more due to high levels of flu absences. Schools are being disinfected during the closures to help stop the spread of illness.

Marshall County (AL) Schools: Closed Thursday, Jan. 31 and Friday, Feb. 1 due to high levels of flu.

Giles County (TN) Schools: Giles County Schools are closed for the remainder of this week. Students will return to school Monday, February 4, 2019. Closure is due to the high number of students and teachers with flu/strep.

Fayetteville (TN) Schools: Fayetteville City Schools will be closed the rest of this week, 1/31 and 2/1. FAST will be closed and Parent Conferences will be moved to next week.

Lincoln County (TN) Schools: Lincoln Co. Schools will be closed for the remainder of the month & Feb. 1st, 2019. After school activities are at the discretion of the principal.
