A man wanted in multiple burglaries in Huntsville was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly burglarizing a Murphy USA location.

Huntsville PD officers arrested 52-year-old Joe Bellmon in the middle of the night with $240 worth of cigarettes in his possession. It’s believed he took these from Murphy USA.

He was also served warrants for prior theft and burglary.

According to Huntsville Police, one warrrant was for a burglary at Metro PCS on University Drive in March.

The other was for theft at the Walmart on Sparkman Drive, where he allegedly took almost $500 worth of meat and alcohol and tried to leave the store without paying. In that case, a loss prevention employee tried to stop him and he fled without the goods. The employee called police and Bellmon was ID’d as the suspect.
