Limestone County man arrested for allegedly taking more than $2,500 from elderly

A Limestone County man wanted for Financial Exploitation of the Elderly turned himself in to the Limestone County Jail on Monday.

Rodney Jackson was arrested on a three-count indictment. According to the indictment, he “intentionally and knowingly used deception, intimidation, undue influence, force, or threat of force to obtain or exert unauthorized control over the property” of 4 individuals, who were all aged 60 or older.  

The alleged property taken was U.S. currency exceeding $2,500.

Financial Exploitation in the First Degree is a Class B felony punishable by a maximum of 20 years imprisonment and up to a $30,000 fine for each count.   A trial date has not been set.
