The job of Alabama’s lieutenant governor may not seem like a powerful role, but it stepping stone for the big job.
In a one on one interview with Alabama’s new lieutenant governor, Will Ainsworth today, he said his goal is to be the most active lieutenant governor the state has ever seen.
Yesterday, Ainsworth became one of the state’s youngest lieutenant governor’s at just 36 years old.
and some of the issues he want to tackle with the legislature are,
Infrastructure, education, job creation, and workforce development.
Ainsworth says one of the challenges the state is facing is poor preforming schools.
And his plan to end that is a charter school option.
Ainsworth says his office will work closely with Gov. Ivey’s office to get more done for the state of Alabama.
