More problems from a grand jury today for a Lauderdale County attorney facing a variety of human trafficking and sexual abuse charges.
Edward Ray “Chip” Dillard was indicted again by the Lauderdale County Grand Jury on Tuesday for three additional counts of human trafficking, two counts of bribing a witness, along with two more counts of destruction of evidence and two counts of tampering with evidence.
All those are on top of the original May indictment charging him with eleven counts of human trafficking.
Attorney General Luther Strange withheld details, but said Dillard, along with another man, Tim Scaggs, were both arrested for allegedly taking advantage of young girls in the Lauderdale County area back in May.
They also face charges of making terroristic threats and intimidating witnesses.
