Last minute holiday gift shoppers flock to stores

Panic Saturday

It’s Panic Saturday, which means it’s officially crunch time for holiday gift shoppers.

It’s too late to shop online, so people are flocking to stores to search for presents.

Bridge Street Town Centre General Manager, Ryan Ginty, said, “We are seeing a lot of large crowds, and today could even be busier and more volume in sales than Black Friday was for some of our stores.”

If you still have shopping to do, head to stores as they open to beat the crowd.

“I’d suggest to come out earlier the better, and just bring some patience as there will be some traffic,” said Ginty.

If you need your last minute gifts wrapped, there are people at Bridge Street who will do it for you. They will be wrapping gifts through Christmas Eve.

“If you’re doing last minute shopping, you should check out our holiday gift wrap service which is located near the Cinemark Theater, and all proceeds go to Kids to Love,” said Ginty.

Parkway Place Mall and Bridge Street Town Centre will be open this weekend. Both will be open until 6:00 PM on Christmas Eve as well.
