Huntsville native and veteran’s role in movie made by veterans

Huntsville native and retired army veteran Van Booth has a role in Tango Down, a movie made by veterans that launched in January.

The movie is about two friends that served in Afghanistan together, with themes of brotherhood, difficult decisions in war, and how that can impact life back home.

“They’re best friends, and their trust is being put to the test from something that happened over there,” said Booth. “Then they return, and they come back and they have this internal struggle of betrayal.”

Booth plays Rufus Payne Jr. in the movie, which he describes as suspenseful.

Booth is a retired staff sergeant who served for 20 years.

The movie is playing in select theaters and will be available online and in DVD.

The movie is made by Silver Rose Entertainment. To watch the movie and for more information about Tango Down, click here
