It’s not quite Halloween, but that isn’t stopping hundreds of people from breaking out the costumes to celebrate in Madison.
Today, families got to trunk-or-treat at the Hogan Family YMCA. Local churches and organizations decorated their cars, played games with the kids, and passed out candy. Tiny ghosts and ghouls got to bounce around in a bouncy castle.
Workers at the YMCA say they put on this event to bring the community together.
Executive Director at the Hogan Family YMCA, Daniel Kasambira, said, “It’s an opportunity for us to be able to see the diversity of people here. You have young, old, different racial backgrounds, people just coming together to have a good time.”
They say the event also helps show people who have never been to the YMCA what they do for the community.
