High school graduations will be held on Monday, May 21st, Tuesday, May 22nd, Wednesday, May 23rd, Thursday, May 24th and Friday, May 25th at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena or the North Hall located downtown at 700 Monroe St.  

Wednesday, May 23
3:00 p.m. Buckhorn High School (Propst)

6:00 p.m. Madison County High School (Propst)

8:00 p.m. New Hope High School (Propst)

Huntsville City Schools: Will be held at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena located downtown at 700 Monroe St.

Thursday, May 24
1:30 p.m. Jemison High School 

3:30 p.m. Columbia High School 

5:30 p.m. Grissom High School

Friday, May 25
1:30 p.m. New Century Technology High School 

3:30 p.m. Lee High School 

5:30 p.m. Huntsville High School

In addition, the Von Braun Center has recently changed their event security and safety procedures.  It is suggested that you allow a little extra time if you plan to attend.  The VBC event security and safety procedures can be found below or on the VBC website at www.vonbrauncenter.com/event-security-safety/

Von Braun Center Event Security & Safety: 
The Von Braun Center is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests. All guests shall remain respectful and courteous to their fellow patrons and comply with requests from VBC staff regarding policies, emergency response procedures and behavior which impacts the event experience of fellow spectators. The Von Braun Center values the support of all guests and reserves the right to eject any guest for any reason, including not treating other guests attending the event with dignity and respect.
 

Guest Searches: 
All patrons entering the Von Braun Center during an event are subject to screening, which varies from event-to-event. Screenings range from visual inspection and bag search to screenings by a magnetometer (metal detector) and/or pat-down search conducted by security personnel. The purpose of the inspection is to detect prohibited items.
Doors open one(1) hour prior to show time.* Please arrive as close to the hour as possible. If an attendee cannot make it to the venue 30 minutes prior to the show, they should expect a possible delay. The VBC has increased typical staffing levels for events to get each and every person into the building in a timely manner but can make no guarantees.

The following items are not permitted in the Von Braun Center:
Aerosol cans
Any noise making devices* (specifically air horns, sirens, or whistles)
Backpacks/briefcases
Bags/purses larger than 14” x 14”x 6”
Bottles or cans
Chains over 6” in length
Coolers
Fireworks
Food and drink purchased outside of the Von Braun Center
Frisbees and/or beach balls
GoPro cameras
Illegal drugs or alcohol
Jewelry or belts of any kind containing spikes or studs
Large umbrellas
Laser pointers
Poles or sticks (including signs attached to poles)
Professional cameras/camera bags
Recording devices
Selfie sticks
Suitcases
Weapons** or dangerous devices of any kind


*excludes Huntsville Havoc hockey games
**weapons may include firearms, pocketknives, pepper spray, stun gun/Taser, and wallet chains
