The day after Tax Day is a special day set aside for Americans to be aware of just how stressed they may have become.

HarborChase, an assisted living community, hosted a stress awareness event. It featured free massages, relaxing new yoga exercises and a psychologist who discussed tips on lowering stress.
“Take care of yourself first. You’re not going to be able to take care of yourself or your family if you’re not putting yourself first,” said Traci Talley Director of Sales for HarborChase.
In fact, studies show that severe stress has a direct correlation with heart disease, depression, and a general lowering of the immune system.
