Today, Governor Kay Ivey was sworn in as Alabama’s 54th governor, and second woman to hold the spot.
All of Alabama’s Constitutional officers sat on stage next to Governor Kay Ivey and each took the Oath of Office.
Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth promised a new day in Alabama.
Attorney General Steve Marshall talked about holding the powerful accountable.
Secretary of State John Merrill said the days of operating as “business as usual” are over.
And finally, it was Governor Kay Ivey’s turn to take the Oath of Office.
