GoFundMe account started for family of IHOP worker killed

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family of the IHOP worker who was shot and killed by a customer Wednesday night in Huntsville.

Roy Brown, Sr. was shot and killed by a 25-year-old Roderick Turner after Turner became irate about service at the restaurant.

Brown’s son, Jay Brown, was also shot. He shot back and killed Turner in what the police are calling defense of himself and others.

According to the latest update on the GoFundMe page, Roy’s son had surgery, got released, and is now resting at home.

The IHOP restaurant has reopened, and a memorial has sprung up in the parking lot.
