The Huntsville Museum of Art has a special guest for their “Voices of Our Times” event Thursday.
Jon Scott is a news anchor for Fox News Channel and has been a journalist for 40 years.
He was live on-air during the 9/11 attacks, covered the O.J. Simpson trial, and reported on the war live in Afghanistan.
Jon Scott will be speaking about the changes he has seen in journalism, controversies of the day, and the idea of fake news.
He believes the country is divided right now, but says there is one thing we should keep in mind.
“It is just important, especially at this time, to remember that we are all Americans first and that we all have to pull the oars together,” says Jon Scott.
The “Voices of Our Times” event is Thursday, January 16th at 7 p.m. at the Huntsville Museum of Art. It is an annual speaker series that brings people of note in the arts, academia, design, publishing, politics and sports to the Huntsville Museum of Art for candid, in-depth discussions and presentations.
Jon Scott’s presentation will be the second installment of the 2018-2019 Voices series. The next two speakers will be civil rights activist, Ambassador Andrew Young, Jr., and international interior designer, Nina Campbell.
