Four dogs were euthanized Tuesday morning.
The dogs which were part of a deadly attack in Jackson County, were put down by Scottsboro Animal Control officers.
The pit bulls were linked to the death of Mrs. Emily Colvin and seriously injuring Mrs. Rose Frazier.
Defendants in the case had until Monday to appeal the euthanization of the dogs, but none was brought forward.
The Assistant District Attorney, M. Brent Benson, said, “It is my hope and prayer that this brings some amount of closure for the victims and their families so they can begin to heal from this horrible tragedy.”
