Guntersville State Park is hosting five Eagle Awareness Weekends this year from Jan. 25 through Feb. 17.
This is your chance to experience these birds in their natural habitat. Explore on your own or with an Eagle Watch group hike. There are six eagle watching hot spots mapped out around the park.
Every weekend will include live bird of prey presentations, guided park tours, and other activities for park visitors of all ages.
Special lodging packages are also available for those who want to make make their weekend “for the birds”.
The Eagle Awareness Weekends began in 1985 to coincide with a bald eagle restoration program in Alabama.
