Driver in fatal wreck identified, booked for Manslaughter

The driver in a wreck at Blake Bottom Rd. and Highway 53 that left oa young woman dead has been charged with Manslaughter.

According to Huntsville Police, Cedric Warner was released from Huntsville Hospital and booked into the Madison County Jail for Manslaughter.

The Wednesday afternoon wreck killed 20-year-old Lashaundra Monet Logan. She was riding in the back seat and was trapped. Logan was pronounced dead at the scene,

HPD reported that Warner was driving a 2006 Honda Civic westbound on Blake Bottom Rd. when he ran a stop sign, crossed over Hwy 53, and lost control, causing the vehicle to flip multiple times.

He and his front seat passenger were both transported to Huntsville Hospital.

Surveillance camera footage of the crash showed the Civic running the stop sign and crossing over Hwy 53 at high speed without slowing down. Multiple witnesses gave similar statements.

The name of the 18-year-old passenger has not been released.
