Ditto Landing doubling number of camp sites, taking bids for construction

Ditto Landing is more than doubling their number of camp sites and they’re taking bids from contractors now.

Construction will start soon on the 41 new camp sites with electric, water, and sewage. These sites should be safe from any flooding, like what closed Ditto Landing earlier this year.

Executive Director Brandi Quick says they’ve stayed booked a lot this year and don’t want to have to turn people away.

“A lot of people that, they might be with a travel softball team or a travel baseball team and they wanna bring their whole team down when they have a tournament here,” Quick said. “So that’ll be a huge opportunity for them to be able to stay at an affordable rate and stay close to where their children are playing ball.”

She held a pre-bid meeting Thursday to talk with contractors. Bids will be accepted until June 13 at 10:30 a.m.
