Decatur community spends time with police officers during meet and greet

The Decatur community spent some time today with the people that protect and serve them.

Decatur Police Officers were at Texas Roadhouse this evening meeting and greeting with people grabbing a bite to eat. Motorcycle officers and the rescue boat squad also made appearance. The event is all part of National Police Week.

“This is important because we want to build relationships with our community members as early as possible and this is a great way for children to be introduced to law enforcement as well as our community members as well,” said Emme Long Decatur Police Dept. spokesperson

Ten percent of proceeds from tonight’s sales will be donated to the police department.
