Boys and Girls Club wants Decatur City Council to donate old fire station

The Boys and Girls Club is asking the Decatur City Council to give them an old fire station.

Old fire station No. 4 is being used for storage by Decatur Fire and Rescue. The Boys and Girls Club wants to use the old fire station as a designated space to serve teenagers. 

The fire station was one of three the City abandoned because of problems with black mold and asbestos. Some council members are concerned about putting children in the building.
