Boxing Class for Parkinson’s Disease

A local boxing gym is offering classes to folks who suffer from Parkinson’s Disease.

According to Milton Jackson, the program got started on accident.

“One day Allen Martin was teaching a class, and I believe two of his students had Parkinson’s. He noticed the drills were helping control their motor skills.”

That’s when Martin sprouted the idea of holding a class for others who deal with the disease. The club now hosts a class once a week to help those keep their motions under control.
