BeArded WARRIORs wants to make sure families in Huntsville have a way to pay for their veterans’ funeral.
Funerals can cost thousands of dollars. That’s why the non-profit organization is taking up donations right now to help offset the cost of a funeral.
Their goal is to raise $5,000 in two weeks. Ty Oswald, the president of BeArded WARRIORs, says many families who have a younger veteran pass away haven’t had a chance to save up for a funeral.
“The family left behind shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not their family member is going to be buried at all or the circumstances around having to wait for the money to come in,” said Oswald.
