RAN Conference STD - highlight BB_1547665774623.jpg.jpg

The Regional Autism Network (RAN) along with UAH and the Autism Society of Alabama are hosting an autism conference at UAH in the UAH Conference and Training Building next week on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th.

With our children aging the topic of the conference is “Taboo Topics & Autism”. North Alabama has the highest prevalence of autism in the state and it is very important that professionals and parents have an opportunity to learn how to not just help those already of adult age but to help their younger children have the chance to understand before entering adulthood what is to be expected and how to deal with adult situations. Speakers are nationally renowned in their fields and the conference is free which is huge since most conferences like this are around $150 to attend.
