2017 Gulf South Conference Softball Tournament delayed due to weather

Due to inclement weather, the Gulf South Conference office announced on Friday that there will be no action on Friday at the 2017 GSC Softball Championships, and additionally, the tournament will now transition to a single-elimination event to ensure that a champion is crowned on Sunday.

UAH and West Georgia will start the action on Saturday at 11 a.m. A rolling schedule will follow with North Alabama and Valdosta State playing 30 minutes following the conclusion of the UAH contest. West Florida will play Shorter after that, and the day will wrap up with Mississippi College and Lee.

The winners of the UAH/West Georgia and the Valdosta State/North Alabama contests will meet at 10 a.m. on Sunday followed by the winners of the other two games at 12:30 p.m.

The championship contest is set for a 3 p.m. start.
