Lucy is the puppy featured on the second day of the 12 Strays of Christmas!
“We think she’s a lab/Anatolian shepherd mix but she acts like a lab,” said Beth Tumlin, animal care lead at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. “She loves people.”
Little Lucy is two years old and has some tricks up her sleeve. She can sit and shake.
“She’s well-behaved. Someone spent a lot of time with her,” Tumlin said.
Lucy does alright with other dogs most of the time, but would do best as the only pup around.
“Actually her previous owner had a small kid, she was like six and they loved each other,” Tumlin said. “So she’s really good with kids. She’s been with kids.”
Lucy was surrendered to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society because her owner got a job that meant she was never home to play with Lucy. Now she needs a home to fill with her puppy love.
“Still got a little big of puppy energy, but she’s very calm inside,” Tumlin said.
