12 Strays of Christmas: Adopt Lady!

News

This holiday season WZDX News is showcasing some special furry faces in hopes they’ll find a forever home.

The first adoptable puppy in Day 1 of the “12 Strays of Christmas” is Lady. Lady is an eight year old Akita/Husky mix.

“She’s pretty low-key,” said Beth Tumlin, animal care lead at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. “She’s pretty calm. She loves people.”

Lady was surrendered because her owner was admitted to the hospital for an undetermined amount of time.

“She was obviously very well-taken care of and well-loved,” Tumlin said. “She’s very social.”

Lady is calm and loves everyone, especially if everyone is paying attention to her.

“She gets along generally with pretty much anything,” Tumlin said. “Anything you throw at her. She’s very excited by people as you can see.”

Lady’s been at the shelter for a few weeks, which is longer than expected. But she doesn’t need much time to make you fall in love with her.

To adopt Lady contact the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. Their number is 256-881-8081 and they are located at 2812 Johnson Road in Huntsville.
