11-year-old girl “goes bald” in honor of kids battling cancer

Friends and family came out to support 11-year-old, Kaitlyn Lee, as she shaved her head to raise money for the Jessie Rees Foundation.

NEGU aka. “Never Ever Give Up” is the motto of one Huntsville girl who is raising money for the Jessie Rees Foundation.

11-year-old, Kaitlyn Lee, shaved her head today in honor of kids battling cancer. The money she’s raising goes to “JoyJars” which are given to kids during cancer treatment.

She began raising money when she was 7 years old. She started running 5K and 10K races and set her first goal for $1,000. So far, she’s raised over $50,000.

“I just want to support my friends because I know they go through rough times, and they don’t just lose their hair. They lose many other things. Like, they’re not able to do as many activities as we are,” said Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn continues to exceed her goals. Next, she wants to raise $100,000 for the Jessie Rees Foundation.
