Charity Chambers

Meet the Team

Charity Chambers is a proud Texas native who is excited to be a part of the WZDX team as the Weekend Sports Anchor!

Charity graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in English in December 2015. While attending Texas A&M, Charity was a sports reporter for The Battalion. She spent her winter breaks covering College Football bowl games such as The ESPN Ticket City Bowl and The Heart of Dallas and Armed Forces Bowls. She was also a member of the A&M Powerlifting team in which she broke the world record in the RAW division for her age group.

After graduation, Charity spent her time as a producer and reporter at CBS 7 in Odessa, Texas. Throughout her time in Odessa she got to cover Permian High School football in which the Friday Night Lights Movie was based after. She also helped launch and host the first ever College Gameday show for UTPB’s inaugural football season.

After her time in Odessa, she pursued her dreams at KNWA in Fayetteville, Arkansas. As a reporter she covered a variety of sports and news topics during her time there.

Throughout her career Charity has covered sports ranging from football, basketball, baseball, softball, track & field, soccer, hockey, equestrian, and barrel racing. Although she has covered a variety of things, Charity says her favorite journalistic memory is getting to cover college football games with her brother Andrew.

Sports are Charity’s true passion and has been since she was a little girl and from a young age, Charity’s parents instilled in her the true meaning of Romans 1:16 which has now become a part of her everyday life. Charity’s all-time favorite sports figure is Dwyane Wade. She is a self-proclaimed food connoisseur, gym addict, and die-hard Aggie.
