Huntsville police are searching for two suspects involved in a shooting that left one man seriously injured.
Police say the victim was shot and then drove himself to a nearby gas station at Stringfield and Pulaski Pike Roads Saturday morning.
That’s when police say he called 9-1-1. Investigators say the victim was shot in the chest just before 9 a.m.
One long-time resident in that area says he still feels safe in North Huntsville despite the shooting.
“Shootings like this happen all over the city of Huntsville. It’s just not happening in North Huntsville. It’s happening in Southeast Huntsville. It’s happening all over the city. This is just one incident that recently occurred,” said Morris Athy.
Police say the suspects — a man and a woman– took off in an older model maroon Nissan Maxima. They were heading west-bound on Stringfield Road.
Call police if you have any information about the suspects.
