Hundreds expected for Square Dance under the Saturn V

Local News

Hundreds are expected at a square dance tonight under the Saturn V rocket at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.

Dancers from across the country will join locals and the North Alabama Square Dance Association for a one-of-a-kind event next to a lunar lander, Apollo 16 command module, a real Moon Rock, and other space artifacts. Don’t be surprised if you meet some international guests…square dancing isn’t just an American thing.

And this isn’t your fourth-grade square dancing. Anyone is welcome, but if you’re not sure about jumping onto the floor, spectator tickets are available.

Dancing is 6:00pm-9:30pm. Tickets are available at the door: $25 for dancers, $10 for non-dancers. For more event information, visit the North Alabama Square Dance Association Facebook page or website.

All ages are welcome.
