CENTER POINT, Ala. (WIAT) — The Jefferson County Sheriffs Office is asking for help to identify a man wanted for allegedly grabbing a woman outside her Center Point home wearing just his socks.

Deputies responded to a home in the 2300 block of 2nd St NE on Sept. 4, 2018 when a 42-year-old woman reported she had been grabbed by a naked man wearing only socks.

The woman told deputies she was smoking at the back of her house, and when she turned to go back inside, the unknown suspect put his hands around her waist. She turned to see the unknown man standing there, then flee on foot.

Deputies searched the area but did not find the suspect. An image of the suspect was captured on surveillance camera at a house nearby. He is clothed in the photo.

Anyone with information about this case or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 205-325-1450 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
