HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Tropical Storm Josephine officially gained enough strength this morning to become upgrades to a low-end tropical storm. While Josephine will have no impact to the United States, Josephine is still breaking records.
Josephine has become the earliest "J" named storm (10th name) Atlantic Basin, which was previously held by Jose back on August 22, 2005.
Tropical Storm Josephine is expected to pass north of the Leeward Islands and start to curve northward through the Atlantic Ocean. Josephine isn't expected to strengthen to hurricane status and will start to downgrade to a tropical depression once again by Monday.
