HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Some morning cloud cover gave way to afternoon sunshine across the entire Tennessee Valley. The sunshine combined with winds that have a southerly component allowed our temperatures to climb into the low 80s across the Tennessee Valley. An average high temperature in late October is 73°. I'll just go ahead and tell you our high temperatures will not be that low through the forecast period.
The warmth continues at night as well. Lows tonight will stay in the upper 50s and low 60s. An average low temperature is 49°. Temperatures will stay in the low 60s at night through the forecast period.
We also stay dry Wednesday with just a very small chance of rain on Thursday. Friday and Saturday will bring our best rain chances to the Tennessee Valley. This rain is associated with a cold front that will begin to drop south Friday afternoon. It should be enough of a forcing mechanism that we see some scattered showers and thunderstorms on Friday. This activity gradually comes to an end on Saturday.
The cold front will never really move through the Tennessee Valley, that's why we'll continue to see the low 80s mentioned above.
