Another cold front is expected to move through the Tennessee Valley on Thursday, and this one means business.

Cold-Front-4

Ahead of the front, winds out of the south driving in moisture of the Gulf of Mexico. Just like last Friday, this means rain for the Tennessee Valley.

Rain will move in early Wednesday morning and continue in a rather scattered form through the duration of the afternoon with a few thunderstorms possible.

Rain-Totals-2

Parts of the Tennessee Valley are under a marginal risk for severe weather, with the biggest threat being some gusty winds. Aside from that, we’re talking about another big rainmaker for the Tennessee Valley. This is still good news as the rain we saw on Friday was nowhere near enough to pull us out of the drought that plagues much of NE Alabama.

Halloween Forecast

Halloween-1

As far as when the rain ends, that’ll be gradual through Thursday afternoon and evening. Those with the best chance of being dry during prime Trick-Or-Treating would be across NW Alabama. Whether any particular location is dry or not, temperatures will begin to fall quickly behind the front.
