Boeing, NASA aiming for March 25 for Starliner flight test launch

Boeing says the Orbital Flight Test-2 is a critical developmental milestone in the company's path forward to fly crew missions for NASA.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — The Boeing Starliner's second uncrewed test flight is scheduled to take place on March 25.

Boeing says the Orbital Flight Test-2 is a critical developmental milestone in the company's path forward to fly crew missions for NASA.

The company says the targe launch date has been enabled by an opening on the Eastern Range, the availability of the ULA Atlas V rocket, steady hardware and software progress and a docking opportunity at the International Space Station.

Boeing said the Starliner was designed, built, tested and flown by a team that is committed to safely, reliably and sustainably transporting astronauts between Earth and the ISS.

On March 25, Boeing and NASA aim to launch Starliner on a ULA Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, dock to the ISS and return to land in the western United States.
