Signings at St. John Paul II Catholic and Brooks High School

J.P. Ross - football @ West Point, Dom Zana - football and track & field @ Birmingham Southern, Iain Griggs - golf @ Birmingham Southern, Kyler Murks - Wallace St CC

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Another day of high school athletes putting pen to paper and making commitments to further their education and athletic careers...

Saint John Paul Catholic High School saw three Falcons sign the dotted line today. J.P. Ross will play football at West Point, Dom Zana will compete in both football and track and field at Birmingham Southern, joining Iain Griggs who has also committed to Birmingham Southern to play golf.

Each athlete shed light on their respective decisions:

“I'm very excited,” said Ross. “I used to live there. I'm very close to the people there, the town there. And I just can't wait to get back up there and get to work.”

“So close to UAB, so close to people I know and love,” explained Griggs. “Grew up with a lot of them too. Crazy to think that we're all, all of us are going to go and play.”

“Two sport thing was really what drove my decision,” said Zana. “BSC is close to home. I fell in love with the culture. It's very similar to a small school.”

Out at Brooks High School, Kyler Murks ran his pen across the dotted line. Murks has committed to Wallace State Community College to play baseball next year. The senior has posted a 40 time of 4.55 and has a g-p-a of 3.85.
