No positive tests allow Patriots, Titans to work in person

The Titans remain scheduled to play Buffalo on Tuesday night, with the Patriots hosting Denver on Monday.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans and the New England Patriots had no positive COVID-19 tests Saturday, and both teams are getting back into their facilities.

The Titans will be returning for the first time since the NFL closed them down Sept. 29, while the Patriots had worked remotely the past three days. The Titans now have had no positive test results four of the past six days.

The Titans are scheduled to play the Buffalo Buffalo on Tuesday night, with the Patriots hosting Denver on Monday.

The Titans have heard some of the calls for the NFL to punish them harshly for their role in the league’s first COVID-19 outbreak, and they have some words of caution after first-hand experience. It’s still a pandemic, and testing is not perfect.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill said it’s been a roller coaster as people with no symptoms test positive while others with full-blown symptoms receive consecutive negative tests on multiple days.

Bill Belichick says the Patriots are looking forward to getting back in their building, adding, "One thing we’ve learned this year is that we all have to be able to adapt to changes and adjustments."
