After a bumpy start the James Clemens football team is on a roll and shows no sign of slowing down. The Jets beat Clay-Chalkville on Friday 28-6 and defensive back and special teams player Kyriq McDonald had one of the best games of his life.
“Pretty decent preformance, well prepared all week, practicing all week, getting after it, showed out Friday,” said Kyriq McDonald.
“From the way he practiced, that example was great,” said Coach Wade Waldrop. “I just hope and think, what if we do that for four weeks before that what if we do that for the next four weeks out. How much more can we grow and how much more can we get better.”
McDonald was a scoring machine. He returned the opening kickoff into the endzone, had an interception he ran 30 yards for another touchdown, and on offense he ran in a 50-yards to the house
“Yeah I mean, just going through it, just watching it again, I still get happy every time I see that.”
“It’s unuasul to see in 7A ball a young man score in all three phases of the game and he was able to do that Friday.”

“I mean I try to come out everyday in practice and get better than I was the day before. I’m definitely looking forward to getting better every day.”
