Grant Hill, former Alabama football player from Huntsville dies, university says

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Crimson Tide is mourning the death of one of its former football players, Grant Hill.

"Grant Hill was a wonderful teammate and friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this devastating time," the university wrote in a Facebook post.

Hill played on the University of Alabama's Offensive Line as No. 64 from 2013 to 2014 after graduating from Huntsville High School. Born in 1995, he was only 26-years-old at the time of his death.

Commenters on the university's Facebook page mourned Hill's death:

"Heartbreaking! He played high school football with my son in law and my daughter cheered for him in high school and fresh year in college," one commenter wrote.

"Praying for the family. No one knows what tribulations people go through in life. So very sad," wrote another.
