Restaurants, eateries open at Town Madison near Toyota Field

About four restaurants are opening alongside Town Madison Boulevard and one is already open.

MADISON, Ala. — As the Trash Pandas prepare to take the field for their inaugural home opener, good food and desserts are moving in nearby.

About four restaurants are opening alongside Town Madison Boulevard and one is already open.

If you're in the mood for something sugary, The Yard Milkshake Bar has you covered. The bar even has a fan-favorite named in honor of the Trash Pandas: The Graham Slam.

"[The milkshake] is named after my youngest son," said franchise owner Rodney Cottingham. "That is our specialty just for Madison, Alabama. That is one of our top three shakes."

Desserts aren't the only option coming to Town Madison. Moe's Bar-B-Que will soon move in too.

"They've already started their construction," said Breland Companies Spokesperson Joey Ceci. "The interior construction, you have the outsides are already done, around the corner from us, they'll be open about sixty to ninety days."

J. Alexanders, along with an Outback Steakhouse, is under construction. Additionally, a restaurant called I Love Sushi is coming soon.

A couple more restaurants nearby are expected to be announced soon. According to developers, a total of 12 restaurants will move into Town Madison by the end of this year or earlier next year.

"We believe that with the stadium and with the restaurants, it really kind of provides that other amenity to young professionals, families, others that we're trying to recruit to kind of move here as we continue to grow the area," said Ceci.
