FDFN MVP of the Week: Guntersville's Logan Pate

In Guntersville's win over Boaz, Logan Pate rushed for 221 yards and also had a career best 6 touchdowns.

This year's Guntersville football team is truly something special. They're currently undefeated, they're 5-0 in region play. Their most recent win coming over Boaz in which they captured the region title for the first time since 2015. A huge part of their success is junior running back Logan Pate who is our First Down Friday Night MVP of the Week.

"Logan has worked really hard," said Guntersville head football coach Lance Reese. "He had a big year as a sophomore but he's kind of matured physically and mentally this year. So he's done a better job not only running the ball but blocking and just becoming an all around better running back."

In Guntersville's win over Boaz, Logan rushed for 221 yards and also had a career best 6 touchdowns.

"I give all thanks to my line, and my receivers for blocking for me, and just the coaches giving me a chance and opportunity," said Logan Pate. "Our line's a lot better than they were last year receiving core has gotten a lot stronger. Our defense has been lights out all year."

The Wildcats 56-14 win over Boaz helped them clinch the region title and ensure that their first round playoff game will be at home.

Guntersville's next game will be Friday against West Point.

Huge congrats to Logan Pate on being named our MVP of the Week!
