BIRMINGHAM, Ala — Auburn's Seth Williams and Tank Bigsby were both recognized by the SEC in the league's weekly awards Monday following a 35-28 victory at Ole Miss over the weekend.

Williams was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week. The junior wide receiver caught eight passes for 150 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 58-yard reception from Bo Nix with just over a minute left. He also made four third-down grabs to convert the first down, and his 38-yard catch late in the third quarter led to a touchdown on the next play.

"He's an impact player," Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn said. "The sign of a really, really good player is when they have a tough week the week before, and they come back and they rebound. It doesn't surprise me at all. He's an impact player for us. He made a lot of good third-down catches. He made a really good catch on that one where he went up and high-pointed the ball. And then of course the last play was classic."

It was Williams' fifth career 100-yard receiving game and second this season. He caught six passes for 112 yards and two scores in Auburn's season-opening win over Kentucky.

Bigbsy was selected as the SEC Freshman of the Week after going over 100 yards rushing for the third straight week. The freshman running back finished with a team-high 129 yards on 24 carries and scored two touchdowns.

"He's running with passion," Malzahn said. "He's breaking tackles. I think he came into this game tied for first the country in breaking tackles. He's continuing to do that."

Bigsby joined Bo Jackson and Michael Dyer as the only freshmen in Auburn history with three 100-yard rushing performances against SEC opponents, and he's done it three weeks in a row with 111 yards last week against South Carolina and a career-high 146 yards the week before to help lead the Tigers past Arkansas.

Bigsby is second among FBS freshmen with 432 rushing yards in five games this season (86.4 ypg), trailing only SMU's Ulysses Bentley IV,who has rushed for 546 in six games (91.0 ypg). His rushing total is also third in the SEC among all rushers.

It's the second time this season Auburn has had a player recognized as the SEC Freshman of the Week. Cornerback Jaylin Simpson took home the honor following his performance in week one.
