3-star basketball standout Darius Miles commits to Alabama

Darius Miles, a 6-foot-7, 185-pound wing player at the IMG Academy, committed to Alabama over his other three finalists – Boston College, Memphis and Minnesota.

Nate Oats and the Alabama men’s basketball team landed Darius Miles on Tuesday. Miles is the 4th player to commit to the Crimson Tide's basketball team this season.

A small forward from IMG Academy (by way of Washington D.C.), Miles chose Bama over Boston College and Minnesota. Miles is the third commitment for the Tide in less than two weeks, joining 247Sports five-star combo guard Josh Primo, and four-star junior college combo guard Keon Ellis

“They just showed more genuine love,” Miles told BamaOnLine. “They kind of made me a priority.”

Alabama offered Miles on March 24 after season on the IMG Academy Post Grad team in Florida. While Miles didn’t have the opportunity to take an in-person visit due to the NCAA Dead Period in place due to the coronavirus, the East Coast native did get the chance to do a virtual tour of the Capstone.
