CANTON, Ohio — The Birmingham Stallions are the 2022 USFL champions, defeating the Philadelphia Stars 33-30 on Sunday.
Down 23-20 late in the game, Victor Bolden Jr. scored the go-ahead touchdown for Birmingham, part of a six catch, 64 yard effort that earned him MVP honors. Scooby Wright scored on a pick-six to seal the victory for the Stallions.
Marlon Williams posted a team-high seven receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown. Bo Scarbrough tallied 135 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown.
The Stallions finish the 2022 season with an 11-1 record. The USFL has announced it will return in April with the same eight teams.
