After flirting with the possibility of turning pro, Auburn guard Bryce Brown announced he will return to school for his senior season.

Brown had previously declared for the 2018 NBA Draft without hiring an agent. He made the announcement via Twitter.

“We accomplished a lot last year on the court and I can’t wait to see what we can do next year,” Brown wrote.

This is big news for the Tigers, who found out Tuesday morning they will have to replace wing Mustapha Heron, who reportedly will transfer from Bruce Pearl’s program.

“Bryce has moved the needle as much as any player in college basketball,” Pearl said in a statement. “To go from Auburn being the only SEC school to offer him and in three years be one of 30 players on the Naismith Trophy Watch List is truly remarkable. His ability to work hard, as well as accept coaching and changing roles has made him an All-SEC player.”

However, it’s not all bad news, as sophomore center Austin Wiley will also reportedly return to school.

Brown scored a career-high 15.9 points per game last season on 40.1 percent shooting. Brown also made 38 percent of his 3-point attempts on 8.5 tries per contest.
